The series took inspiration from the novel Alamut by the Slovenian writer Vladimir Bartol, while building upon concepts from the Prince of Persia series.

The Challenge

Through Brandiful Designs’s extensive experience in developing exciting new products, Hachette have approached us many times to help them realise their product ambitions. We first discuss the challenges and goals of a particular development over meetings in person and an idea always starts with a sketch. Strict confidentiality is observed at all times and work is only published with prior permission from the client.

We were approached by the Assassin’s Creed team at Hachette to help develop a plinth to display their exciting new figurine collection series. The key challenges were to ensure the plinth design was practical in size, attractive to persuade potential subscribers to the collection and to be on budget.

At Brandiful Design we have an extensive knowledge and experience with how the development stages of magazine collection companies work. We are very familiar to the challenges throughout the process. Product development will go through many stages of concept design so we are very flexible to the need and availability to amend designs. Deadlines can be tight and our awareness of this ensures that we never miss an important deadline.

With the base for the Assassin’s Creed Collection we worked closely with the client at every stage with developing the design of the product that went through a series of stages.

The Solution

We created a two tiered design which holds 10 figurines. The two tiers allow for 2 rows of 5 figurines to be arranged with the higher rear 5 figurines not being obscured by the lower figurines.

The design of the base is kept minimal giving maximum attention to the 10 figures. The base acts as the stage to the figurines who are seen as the stars. The plinth is kept black with simple placeholder rings, character symbols and copyright line on the rear. This amplifies the colours and detail of the figurines and serves to complement them rather than distract from them.

The plinth was created entirely in digital 3D software which allows for any modifying to be carried out very smoothly. At Brandiful we can provide approved 3D models in a variety of 3D file formats for clients to send directly to 3D print. Creating 3D prototypes in Bromley has never been easier.
