Dora the Explorer is an American educational animated TV series created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh, and Eric Weiner.  The series is co-produced by Nickelodeon Productions and Nickelodeon Animation Studio. Dora the Explorer is one of the longest-running shows of Nick Jr.

The Challenge

The brief required the design and visualisation of 60 cookware products. The manufactured products would form the USP of a children’s cookery magazine collection called Dora Little Cooks. The collection concept was already approved and licensed to Eaglemoss from licensor Nickelodeon.

The Solution

Each product concept was carefully disused with the client’s team. We supplied detailed drawings at the first stage of the process of designing each item. This ensured that any potential design issues were addressed early on. During the concept stage we worked with the client at all stages of refining the designs before arriving at approved drawings.

As many of the products would not physically exist at the time the accompanying magazine was released, realistic digital 3D visuals were required. These were crucial in selling the collection to the audience of parents and children moving forward. 3D modelling and visualisation allowed quick turnaround for changes to products saving time and respecting the budget.
