After successfully producing artwork for their Educational Supplies catalogue cover, HBS asked us to help them achieve an increase in sales through a brand refresh. This included a homepage redesign and a concept for their Our Story page. The previous homepage lacked impact and appeared dated and tired. The page hierarchy and calls to action were unclear, resulting in a poor shopper experience. The new design needed to be incorporated into the existing website to create a seamless feel. The new design would need to excite shoppers with great offers and products. A further page design was developed to expand on the company’s background through an Our Story page that features a highly graphical timeline and flexibility to add profiles of HBS Group’s growing workforce.
The new homepage design clears away clutter. Shoppers are drawn to a set of dramatic rolling slider adverts highlighting product offers. Further offers are now clearly stated below the sliders making full use of the first place shoppers arrive. The website’s menus are now given more space and are easier to navigate and read. The Our Story page brings a personal touch increasing further the bond and loyalty with shoppers. A highly visual timeline instantly visualises where the company started and where they are now. Staff profiles allow the customers to get an insight into the people behind the company. This builds another human connection that is often lost online or with larger companies.
