The Albert Kennedy Trust supports lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans homeless young people in crisis. Every day they deal with the effects homelessness can have on young people’s lives. They have offices in London, Manchester and Newcastle.
To make it easer for volunteers, encourage donations and those in need of help to contact the charity though a variety of online and printed material. To increase awareness of the variety of services the charity offers.
The charity also needed a way of emphasising its North East project, AKT Outpost through unifying a version of the main AKT logo. AKT Outpost is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, and serves the North East of England. Originally The Outpost Housing Project; this organisation was established in 1995 in response to incidents of homophobia and rejection of young people who were lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT) and who subsequently found themselves living in intolerable circumstances or made homeless.
A key aim was to increase traffic to The Albert Kennedy Trust website through all the main one-to-one communication methods. We produced a email signature that reflected the look and feel of the website. Clear calls to action have been encouraged through clear direct buttons to the relevant web pages and visible contact details. The link is strengthened further with the identical buttons present on the homepage. The updated letterhead reduces clutter allowing clear contact options. A consistent feel and link between the website, email signature and letterhead affirms a consistent and unified goal building trust between the charity and those in contact.
